Dame Rosanne Meo explores how we balance economic and social success.

About this event:
Business leaders are calling for a more innovative business environment and this attitude helps explain why our economy is performing better than many of our trading partners.

But are we sufficiently assessing and contributing to our socio-economic environment. After all, that’s what must underpin an innovative economy.

American Amitai Etzioni believed that a good society was based on a balance of individual rights and social responsibility.

Dame Rosanne Meo explores this important issue and asks whether we have the balance right.

About Dame Rosanne Meo:
Dame Rosanne has worked as a company director for over 20 years and was among the first professional women directors in New Zealand, the first to chair an SOE and the first woman chairman of a listed company. She is currently chairman of Briscoes Group and the Real Estate Institute. Dame Rosanne was awarded the OBE in 1993 and knighted for services to business in 2012.
