Introducing the Open Fort

Spend too much time in the office? Stuck in the same old routines?

The Open Fort has a new way of doing business!

With a fun and playful approach to team bonding and innovation in the workplace, the Open Fort’s free introductory workshop encourages new ideas in a creative and fun way. Open to people from all types of working environments – including corporate businesses, public sector organisations, festival producers, not for profits and community groups, the Open Fort will be sure to inspire and bring an element of excitement and playfulness to your workplace.

The Workshop:
The workshop will be an interactive hands-on session and will cover:
- An overview of The Open Fort’s background, approach and process
- Examples of previous work and glimpses of current projects
- Practical activities and exercises that illustrate the value of the work of The Open Fort
- Hands-on experiential learning techniques for getting more value out of your working day
- Some practical tools which participants can use in their day-to-day work

The workshop is free to attend but registration is required as space is limited.

About the Open Fort:
The Open Fort is a creative consultancy focused on developing cultures of engagement, resilience and innovation within teams, organisations and business. They use creative, playful approaches that are rooted in mindfulness and wellbeing practices.
Working in both the private and public sector, The Open Fort clients include local councils, corporate businesses, placemaking specialists, festival producers and not-for-profit organisations.

The workshop will be delivered by The Open Fort team:

Toby Falconer – Director of Play
Toby designs playful, interactive and immersive experiences and promotes the art of development through games. Tired of passivity, he wants to get people away from screens and out of seats, engaging with each other and their environments. An experienced content producer, he has worked internationally exploring how the creative arts can be used within business contexts; developing workshops and conference content for global clients such as Unilever, GSK, Burt’s Bees and the London School of Economics.
He also heads up the Wild Streets community of ‘real-world game designers’ and runs free street game festivals.

Bhavesh Bhuthadia – Director of Creativity
Bhavesh is an ideas man, design entrepreneur and people person. He’s the host and facilitator of the creative conversations community #scribbleAKL, a product designer working on commercialising his own designs for market, and connector extraordinaire. A strong believer in the benefits of collaboration, he has been the driving force behind a series of successful events and activations bringing together various communities throughout Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.

Lucy-mary Mulholland – Director of Wellbeing
Lucy is a Clinical Arts Therapist with a passion for applying creative therapy-based practices in more mainstream training and education. As a 2013 AMP Scholarship recipient she has had the opportunity to work and study abroad, including Chicago and Bristol, where she has been able to put her own arts therapy practices into use working with at risk youth, as well as learn from the leading lights in her field. She incorporates visual arts, movement, dance, and mindfulness techniques in her work for the purpose of therapeutic healing, educational support, and to promote wellbeing and creativity in both children and adults.er and a clinical arts therapist.
