Girls, striptease, satire, glamour. When we first think of burlesque, these words comes to mind.

But where has it all come from? Burlesque has a rich past, one that has changed over centuries into what it is considered to be today. As a performer or spectator, come along to understand it’s history and gain better insight into its current form.

MisRed is pleased to be presenting her take on a History of Burlesque, based on almost a decade of research using her extensive resources, international experience and having first-hand account stories from the legends themselves as the basis for this seminar, Passionate about where the art has come from, this seminar discusses origins, transformations, anecdotes and a current history of burlesque, both internationally and within New Zealand.

MisRed Delicious is an internationally-renowned, multiple title and award winning burlesque entertainer. She is the co-producer of the NZ Burlesque Festival and mistress of Red Rascal Productions which boasts a burlesque academy, regular shows and tour support for burlesque artists.
