Experience and learn the global phenomenon that is Contact Improvisation!

In this fun workshop, you'll learn the basic skill sets of contact improvisation and learn to dance contact duets with people safely, easily and confidently.

Suitable for ages eighteen and up for people with a basic level of fitness and flexibility.

The benefits of practising contact improvisation include:
- Developing presence in mind and body
- Spreading and stretching our perceptions
- Facilitating movement fluidity
- Oscillating perceptual and physical range
- Becoming more sensitive and attuned to sensory information from yourself and others, including other beings and creatures
- Developing physical strength and flexibility
- Learning to harness and trust in the physical forces that support and work with us including gravity, momentum, flow, mass, spatial support, breath, surfaces, and support
- Learning about the relationship between listening and leading
- Learning how to flow between active and passive - noticing our habitual tendencies to be in one or the other
- Accepting and working with our changing awareness and physical presence on a moment to moment basis with a partner
- Developing relational confidence, humility, range, sensitivity, flexibility
- Improving social skills and confidence.
