Te Tini o Porou Conference Centre, 75 Huxley Road, Kaiti, Gisborne

All Ages

Join us to celebrate the great men in our Gisborne community at the Tairawhiti Men of the Year Awards 2016.

It is a celebration and acknowledgement of the great men in our community.

The event is not a competition – every man nominated will receive an award. Anyone can nominate a Tairawhiti man who is a mentor or role model in our community, or who inspires and supports positive changes in others. We are looking for men involved in the arts, business and sport industries, as well as those who work in health, education, social services and community development.

The Tauawhi Men’s Centre acknowledges and appreciates the men who are doing great things in our community every day

Henare O’Keefe, OSM will be our guest speaker for the evening. Henare has been working for over 30 years across New Zealand against violence in the family and community. This has entailed fronting the New Zealand Police ‘Keeping Ourselves Safe’ programme (KOS) in tandem with the Police Youth Education Service (YES).

Ticket price includes a buffet dinner and entertainment. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are available from Eventfinda or Katy at the Family Works office on 141 Bright Street.

For more information or nomination forms, visit our website www.tauawhi.org.nz, call Tim Marshall on 027 558 6362 or email tauawhi@psec.org.nz

Tauawhi Men’s Centre is a service of the Presbyterian Support East Coast’s Family Works.
