No 5 George St, 5 George Street, Timaru

All Ages

Tai Chi with David Thew.

I have been practising Tai chi, Bagua zhang and Qigong for over 30 years and I am National, Australasian and Twice World Tai Chi Gold medalist.

In 2010 I was nominated for the Westpac Halberg Sportsman of the year ward. Most of my students are between 15-60s (rather than falls prevention Tai Chi for the elderly) I teach more dynamic forms of Tai Chi and Qigong exercise in the proven theory that investing in Tai Chi practice now will pay off later with practioners having excellent health well into old age.

I also teach beginner through to advanced forms and weapons. I have also started a Medical Qigong Clinic in Timaru and also here in Temuka, Medical Qigong is where a skilled therapist transmits Qi or healing energy to a patient to unblock energy meridians (pathways the energy flows) or heal parts of the body and also mind. Clients often are amazed at how peaceful they feel when having a treament. I am an acredited practioner with the "World Academic Society of Medical Qigong" (China).
