Saturday Morning Drawing
This term we are offering a new opportunity for young people to build on their drawing skills in two fun courses. During the first four-weeks, Rachel Tan will lead students through the process of drawing realistic flowers and birds while quirky comic-based artist Will Saunders will take students from concept to executing their expressive ideas to create a full-sized poster to hang. Classes can be taken in concession or individually.

Flora and Fauna: Drawing Realistic NZ Flora and Birds
Rachel Tan
Learn how to create the delicate shading required for flora and birds then increase the contrast to really make your drawings "pop". Using pencil, students will learn specialised blending techniques to create texture and depth. A mix of demonstrations and shading exercises will be utilized to develop work on images that will be supplied. Students will come away with a tool box of techniques and skills to draw realistic flora and fauna.
