What you will learn at the course:

− Having a suitable: Rod and reel.
− Braid and fluorocarbon.
− Types of slow jigs explained.
− Albright knot; braid to fluorocarbon.
− Lefties loop or Clinch knot for fluorocarbon to lure.
− Correct weight of lure, the importance of flutter time.
− Using Madai jigs.
− Using Inchiku jigs
− Using micro jigs/flutter bugs
− Using freestyle Kabura jigs.
− Drag settings, just one kilo as they are lip hooked.
− What to do when a fish bites, for each lure.
− Striking (or not) lifting with a couple of winds.
− Working the lure correctly for each type, slow is the go.
− The Hooking zone (bottom 5 metres).
− Hunting the fish and drifting.
− Deploying a sea anchor.
− Finding the fish. Structure and animal activity.
− Changing size, action and colour of lures.
− Bite times in the Gulf, the importance of current.
− The effect of moon phase/ rise and set.
− Iki and caring for the catch, salt ice/slurry.
− Filleting, or preparing whole fish for the table.
− Cleaning the tackle, easing the drag, use of lubricant, Storage of all tackle, and avoiding rust.
