This event will be an extravaganza of talent, with all proceeds going to the Nelson School of Music 2016 redevelopment campaign.

Treat yourself to a pot pourri of top quality musical experiences, with every performance featuring our Steinway piano… often in the most unexpected way.

5pm Saturday: The Steinway Story AND Saturday Student Showcase
Gather round and listen, as Murray Sturgeon takes us through the Steinway story, from Hamburg to Nelson with love! Then, the rising stars of the Nelson School of Music come out to shine in this concert featuring our 2015 scholarship winners.

7:30pm Saturday: The Formal
Be prepared in all your floss and finery for this extravaganza. Buz Bryant Green flies in from China and shines a light on our Steinway, delivering a myriad of colour and character. Also featuring violinist John Thompson and baritone Robert Tucker, this is a musical feast of local, national and international stars. Two hands, four hands, six hands, eight hands! What can’t this Steinway do?? A not-to-be-missed musical bonanza!

11pm Saturday: Oscar, Tony & Friends and Ripple Effect
Come and join in the vintage fun with a star-studded set of hits from the Oscar and Tony Awards... brought to you by scintillating Drag Queens Phyllis, Shona & friends, and the zany Boathouse Community Choir. Move over Liberace!

12:30am Sunday: The Brilliant & The Bonkers AND Silent Movie
A whirlwind talk of the best bits and best-forgotten-about bits of piano history. Presented by Áine Byrne with Doug Hill on piano. Silent Movie - Buster Keaton

2am Sunday: NSOM-NIA
The local teens are pulling an all-nighter! Presenting their own compositions and performing should keep them going through the wee lonely hours! Sleeping bags essential!

6am Sunday: Fifteen Minutes of Fame
Your chance to be a concert pianist and feel the power of the Steinway beneath your fingers! Open to any individual or group brave enough to take the stage!

8am Sunday: Dawn Chorus
The Civic Choir are singing in the new day with their Dawn Chorus set, bringing all your favourite anthems and choruses. Complimentary bubbles to add to the fun - Hallelujah!!!

9:30am Sunday: Sunday Student Showcase
More students, more talent, more music from The NSOM’s very own early-rising stars!

11:15 Sunday: Lazy Sunday
It’s all in the name... sit back and be entertained by homegrown talent including Simon Williams, Trudi Wilson and the fabulous Stella Nova choir. The show that will make you proud to be a Nelsonian.

1pm Sunday: Off Broadway
A musical treat from the talented young students of Off Broadway Performing Arts School, celebrated for their recent sell-out performances of Next to Normal and Rent. Pushing the boundaries of theatre under Director Tami Mansfield’s expertise, they will leave you thinking, questioning and wanting more!

3pm Sunday: Community Jam
Off Your Rockers Chorus, Central School Children’s Choir & Steinelele lead a community sing-a-long: Watch us pack this much fun into two hours. There’s a wee gem at the end too - a reprise of Gareth Farr's Ripple Effect
