Spring is here!

Do you want to gain confidence to cycle more for transport?

Then join Go Cycle Christchurch for the first of their free spring 'Short Ride For New Adult Cyclists'.

We will ride through parks and quieter public roads in a slow and relaxed fashion. We will also stop along the way to share tips on how to have a safer and more enjoyable ride, we might even have a few free bike accessories to give away.

Meeting place: RAD Bikes, 70 Kilmore St, Christchurch
Departure time: 3:00 pm, Sunday 18 September.

Number of participants is limited to around 10 new cyclists, so to secure a free spot text 021 0277 9250 or email GoCycleChristchurch@gmail.com with name of participant(s), date of ride and whether you have no or some experience riding on roads - first come first serve. More experienced cyclists are welcome to join without 'booking' a spot, but this ride is slow to accommodate new cyclists.

This ride is for new adult cyclists. You only need your bike and helmet and your away. If you do not have a bike you can rent a Nextbike from one of their 6 CBD stands: http://www.nextbike.co.nz/en/christchurch/locations/

You will be responsible for your own safety, so you need to be able to ride your bike and know about the general road code. If the weather is decidedly nasty on the day this ride will be cancelled. Please see the Facebook event page for updates on the day.

Hope to see you and your new cyclist friends or colleagues for a slow and enjoyable ride.

Let's Go Cycle Christchurch!
