Calling all Shakespeare lovers...

Join us as Auckland Libraries celebrates the greatest writer in the history of the English language on the 400th anniversary of his death, with an informal and fun evening in the company of notable Shakespearean experts and performers.
Come along from 5:30pm for a welcome glass of wine, before we get started at 6:00pm.

Emeritus Professor Mac Jackson, internationally recognised for his work on Shakespeare's texts, will kick off the evening with a short talk.
Next we'll enjoy short readings by an eclectic line-up starring Peter Bland, Cameron Rhodes, and the man of the moment, Pop-up Globe Artistic Director Miles Gregory.
Special guest Penny Ashton, of Promise and Promiscuity fame, will star in a memorable musical interlude.

Shakespeare in his time, an exhibition curated by Sir George Grey Special Collections staff, can be visited in the exhibition room adjacent to the Whare Wānanga before and after the event.
Don't miss this chance to see Shakespeare's First Folio and other rare treasures of the world in which Shakespeare lived!
