Practitioners working in the area of family violence and sexual abuse are invited to come along to an engaging and interactive professional development workshop.

This workshop will provide you with information to strengthen your confidence in speaking about sexual violence with whānau/families within their homes and communities.

It will be facilitated by Joy Te Wiata and Russell Smith of Korowai Tumanako, a kaupapa Māori service supporting iwi, hapū and whānau who have been affected by sexual violence.

Explore:
- What whānau want to know. What whānau need to know. What you need to know
- Warning signs and safety strategies
- Recognising the opportunity for the conversation, and practising it in groups
- Ethics, processes and professional behaviour in the community

This is a free event. Lunch is included. Attendees will be added to the Injury Prevention Aotearoa membership database. You can unsubscribe at any time.
