This practical immersive weekend workshop explores creative ways to understand and grow to your full self-using the therapy of art.

Learning tools and insights with a variety of mixed media to develop and help yourself in your personal and professional life.

Participants will be introduced to five different media to holistically grow your mind, emotion, physical and spirit self by focusing on significant life themes.

- Pastels - Centering in yourself
- Paint - Self-esteem and assertiveness
- Clay - Family and community
- Collage - Your spiritual self
- Temporary art - Your future direction

Course material provides practical tools for professional and personal insights for self-reflection through experiential hands-on learning. Participants are guided towards therapeutic outcomes through creative expression. Workshops are fun, practical, interactive, stimulating and designed to build your creative confidence.

Cost includes all materials, morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch. This course material qualifies as professional development hours.

About the Facilitator:
Janice Higgison is a facilitator and counsellor with 15 years experience in teaching the therapy of art. She has established a purpose built studio, called the Arty House, in Tauranga for individual and group creative processes, which was awarded Innovative Provider, 2015 (janice@theartyhouse.co.nz).

Janice holds a Bachelor in Applied Social Science (Counselling); Diploma in Social Practice; Certificate in Professional Supervision and Mentoring and a National Certificate in Adult Education
