The Rotorua District Field of Remembrance will be installed in Government Gardens to mark the 101 anniversary of the Gallipoli landings by ANZAC troops on 25 April 1915.

Each of the named crosses in this Field of Remembrance represents a soldier from the Rotorua District who lost their life whilst serving during World War One, 1914 - 1918.

The Field of Remembrance will open with a consecration at 5pm on Thursday 21 April. The crosses will remain up until Wednesday 27 April 2016 and situated by the Cenotaph in Government Gardens.

If you know of anyone entitled to be included in this Field of Remembrance please contact the Rotorua Lakes Council on (07) 348 4199 or the Rotorua RSA on (07) 348 1055.

The Field of Remembrance will be open from Thursday 21 April until Wednesday 27 April 2016 and situated by the Cenotaph in Government Gardens.

Visitors are welcome to walk amongst the crosses and place personal tributes.
