Come and listen to two fascinating speakers:

Dr. Farah Palmer will give an explanation of what it was like for her to represent New Zealand as captain of the Black Ferns ruby team, on New Zealand’s bicultural heritage, and how this is portrayed to the world through practices like waiata and haka, material symbols such as pounamu, and our values.
Dr. Bevan Erueti will refer to his research on Maori and non-Maori athletes at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games and what representing NZ and Maori on the world stage meant to them.
You are welcome to bring along your lunch to eat while you listen. Coffee and tea provided.
