Famous Polish Scientists: Copernicus and Curie
One of the Educational Presentations for students we offer at the museum
This programme is age group 8 years plus.

Looking for something more than just the usual holiday programme?

Join us for an educational and creative workshop for all the family.
Starts at 10am with 2 hours of activities till 12 noon.
Learn about the scientific work and discoveries of Copernicus (heliocentric solar system) and Marie Curie (radium and mobile X-Rays).
At the end of each presentation there is a craft activity for children: create a model of the solar system and an X-ray of your hand, to take home.

You will view two short visual presentations.
Family groups and individual adults welcome.

Stay awhile and see the galleries in the museum, we are open till 4pm.

Booking in advance is preferred please, cost is $8.00 per child, adults $2

Howick is a destination that offers variety including Howick beach, Stockade Hill, various Fencible sites and historical walks, All Saints Church, Uxbridge Creative Arts Centre ( closed at present for extensive refurbishment), Te Tui Gallery and Howick Historical Village.

The quaint Howick village shops are a 5 minute walk from the museum and the Botany Town Centre is a 10 minute drive.
