Workshop for:
- Primary Teachers (Year 1-3)
- NE teachers
- Early childhood
- Special needs teachers

Come and be part of the change in the way we teach 4 – 7 year olds literacy.

In 2014 an ERO report showed us that we cannot continue to have such a sharp divide between the educational Literacy worlds of children in pre-school and the first years of primary school.

This workshop will reframe how you see, teach and get children to learn to read, write and spell. Following a developmental framework, you will leave this workshop with:

A tool kit of ideas on how to teach literacy in playfully age-appropriate ways to 4 – 7 year olds. The developmental stages of children in writing, spelling, drawing and reading – and how a detailed knowledge of these stages will inform, and ensure much more purposeful, exciting and effective planning and teaching

How we can support the smooth transition of children from pre-school to school with respect to language and literacy ( all children – but also with a focus on ESOL children and children with learning issues) and much more.
