This months NZIPP Auckland Meeting is privileged to have Charles Howells from White Studios presenting.

Charles graduated from Elam School of Fine Art in 1996. He went on to develop technical skills shooting Still Life while managing a very successful studios with a staff of 11. In 2002 Charles left for NYC where he worked for Markus Klinko and Indrani. He was Studio Manager & First Assistant and managed all the staffing, shoot prep, lighting and retouching. Shoots Charles worked on during his time there included musicians Britney Spears, Beyonce, Jay Z, Kelis, Outcast, Pharrell Williams, Black Eyed Peas, and advertisers LOreal, Woolford, Debeers (Iman), AnnaSui and Pepsi.

Upon his return to NZ in 2005 Charles started shooting in his own right and has firmly established himself as one of the top fashion and Advertising photographers in the country. Charles client list is extensive and finds him working in New Zealand, Australia, America and Asia. White Studios "http://www.whitestudios.co.nz/" Charles own studio complex, was opened in 2007 and is the largest and most popular studio facility in the country.

Charles will give an over view of his extensive career, show a range of work and briefly discuss his business model. This will be followed by an introduction to the Profoto lighting range and upcoming lighting workshops.

Meet up at 5 pm around the corner at Galbraiths Alehouse for a meal and to mix with your colleagues.
