As part of the very first Music Therapy Week, a symposium for anyone interested in music therapy.

The symposium, at the University of Auckland’s Centre for Brain Research, is hosted by Prof. Suzanne Purdy (Head of Speech Science), Alison Talmage (Registered Music Therapist) and Shari Storie (Registered Music Therapist).

The symposium is open to everyone with an interested in music therapy, from academics through to potential music therapists through to those interested in music therapy. The afternoon will feature a performance from the Celebration Choir, presentations from the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre, Southern Music Therapy, Music Moves Me Trust, speech-language therapist Robin Matthews, and Dr Te Oti Rakena (Head of Vocal Studies (Classical) at the University of Auckland.

The symposium is free to attend, but registrations are essential - see below for link to registrations.
