Come to the Maritime Museum's Bill Laxon Library for a special archive viewing, behind-the-scenes tour of the maritime library collection and talk on 'Archiving 101'.

The three sessions at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm are part of the Auckland Heritage Festival and bookings are required.

There will be items from the library and archive collections on display showcasing some of our unique treasures. There will also be an opportunity to learn some basic principles of archiving family documents and photographs to preserve them for the future. Our librarian will also provide tips for recording family history information and keeping track of websites visited and searches done.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits provided.
