International Nelson Mandela Day celebrates Mandela's birthday in the spirit that he lived his life -that is giving freely to improve the lives of others.

In that spirit, some health care practitioners have come together to offer free health and wellness opportunities to the community. If you would like to participate or contribute, please contact me.

In the foyer of the Municipal Theatre, we will have 30-minute talks and workshops. Some of the topics are:
- Mindfulness
- Healthy Eating
- Managing the 'work-life balance'.
- Emotional Freedom Technique experience,
- A talk entitled "How dying made me fearless." and Movement activities

In the mini-foyer, there will be a Parent-Child section where we will offer:
- Children's Yoga
- Children's yoga book and set of cards and posters
- A talk on promoting how important experiences are in the first three years of life.
- A colouring station and have a colouring competition
- Parent-child movement-dance

In the St Paul's Hall you have the opportunity to try out various healing options:
- Reiki
- Craniosacral treatements
- Massage
- Reflexology
- Acupuncture
- Access Bars treatments
- Shiatsu Chair Massage
- Aromatherapy insight cards – personalised aroma therapy
- Chakra Balancing and so many others.

Upstairs in the foyer we will be offering free tea, coffee and snack as well as some stalls giving mini-consultations on:
- Healthy eating
- Blood pressure checks
- Ear health
- Oneness Healing
