The Rogue Stage is happy to present an evening of bicultural performances celebrating Māori New Year (Matariki) and the start of 2016 Māori Language Week.

This special event will be hosted at Rotorua Museum and will include talented locals including Huia Hamon.

Huia is a bilingual performer who uses electronic beats and organic percussion with live guitars to create deep easy harmonies. Huia has had a vast musical journey singing with a wide variety of artists and at festivals including Waiheke Jazz Fest, The Big Day Out and Rhythm’n’Vines.

In keeping with celebrations for Matariki and Māori Language Week, several other local te reo performers, including the talented Chris Webber, will also entertain during the evening.

Rotorua Museum Café is licensed and will be open from 6pm with a tasty dinner menu and drinks. Doors to the lower foyer will open at 6pm with a bar serving drinks and light snacks.

Tickets are on sale from Rotorua Museum reception, Musicworks or through The Rogue Stage at theroguestage@gmail.com.
