In a Circle of Trust retreat we practise new ways of being together. We commit to no fixing, advising, “saving” or correcting one another, learning instead to listen deeply and ask honest, open questions that help others hear their own inner wisdom. As we learn to ask questions that are not advice or analysis in disguise, but are asked for no other purpose than to help someone listen to their inner teacher, we all learn and grow.

In this retreat we will develop our capacity to ask honest, open questions, and to listen deeply and openly to one another, practices which we can use beyond the retreat space to help build trustworthy, caring and effective relationships in our personal and professional lives.

Program description:
The Circle of Trust approach is based on the work of writer, teacher and activist Parker J. Palmer. Drawing on insights from poets, storytellers and various wisdom traditions, it offers safe space for self-reflection and shared exploration.

This retreat is for you if you are looking to develop your capacity and courage to lead a more authentic, meaningful and engaged life that is aligned with your inner values.

Going on retreat:
We use the word ‘retreat’ not to suggest escape or withdrawal, but rather as an opportunity to engage at a deeper level with your life and work - time and space to pay attention to your identity and to embrace the various roles and responsibilities that fill your life. It is about engaging fully with yourself and the work you do.

"Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselve. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer." - Rainer Maria Rilke.

The program fee is based on a sliding scale of $50.00 - $100.00. Please pay as much as you can afford within this range. It includes materials, morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch.
