An evening of frank discussion about the end of life

In our modern society there’s a taboo on death - it‘s not PC. It’s not the subject of dinner-table conversations. So where and when do we find out about it? How much do our attitudes and expectations come from social conditioning? What do we really feel and know for ourselves?
Join us for a film followed by open discussion about death and dying over a cup of tea and biscuits. Have your say and listen to others’ stories.

Carol Wales wants to see change take place with all aspects of end of life. She brings an open mind and connected heart to allow people to reach within themselves and have a deeper understanding of dying and death.

She has been featured in the Good Magazine “A Good Death”, Facilitates a Death Cafe in Central Auckland, a Funeral Celebrant, offers the service of Companion for the Dying and is currently working at Hospice.

Hilary Lovelace is an educator and facilitator in End of Life Issues. She has worked with the dying throughout her 30 year nursing career - district nursing, palliative care and research into ‘End of Life Experiences’ with Dr. Peter Fenwick. She offers workshops and one to one supervision to people before they get to the business of dying, so they are better informed and can explore feelings and practicalities around this most certain life experience. She also teaches how to be with and serve the dying.
