Book launch La Basse-Ville 1917: New Zealand Voices from Flanders Fields by Dominique G.J.M. Cooreman

Belgian retired judge D.Cooreman has researched for the last 12 years the men from NZ involved in this part of WWI in Belgium that became forgotten in the memories and books and lost on the maps.

Like WWI it touches the whole of NZ and its communities and families.
Now this needs to be acknowledged and families involved as well as the whole NZ community needs that information provided in this book.

The author shares her time between Belgium and NZ to make sure things will be remembered in tte right way in the future.

After a visit to the Memorial Clock, there will be a powhiri, followed by the presentation of the book and the signing by the author.

On the 12th of May in the same venue there will be a"Q&A about La Basse-Ville" by D.Cooreman for those interested. At 5.30 pm
