We're asking grown ups to get back to the wonder of childhood . On Friday 13th MAY come together with your colleagues, team mates or friends for a gold-coin occasion dressed a little or a lot by the child (or tween) in your lives.

It’s All for A Good Cause - to help Family Works ensure that growing up in New Zealand can be a magical place for all children.

Get Involved Today
From a sparkly hairclip (in Dad’s beard) to a full outfit, Kids Dress a Grown Up Day is about remembering the whimsy and fun that comes so naturally to children and embracing their silliness and magic.

Getting involved is simple. Find out more at Facebook: Kids Dress a Grown Up Day .

We'll send you an event kit that includes bunting, stickers, posters and everything you need to create an hilarious fundraising event.

It’s a lighthearted way to support a serious cause - eliminating child poverty and family violence in New Zealand.

Why Support Family Works?
Like you, we think New Zealand should be the best place in the world to grow up. Right now, that’s not the case for all of our children and young people.

Family Works has been working with children, youth and vulnerable adults for over 100 years. We know that children and young people flourish when their families and whanau feel safe, strong and connected with their communities. We empower people who face often complex challenges in their lives with skills and strategies to make lasting and positive change in their lives.

Our services in Nelson- Tasman include: counselling; home based social work; family workers in schools and kindergartens; youth counselling and the Family Works Youth Service.

This Kids Dress a Grown Up Day pilot has been made possible thanks to the generous support of a MediaWorks foundation grant.

'Yay Mediaworks' we say.

Childhood: Where super-hero-ballerina-princesses hold mud pie tea parties for their cicada-shell friends, and dragon-slaying-jedi four year olds, sport gumboots while rescuing pet cats from certain peril at least twice a day
