With Julie Mason on Vocals and Piano, and The Craig Williams Quartet; (Craig Williams (Piano, Bass), Frank Gibson (Drums), Mike Booth (Trumpet), and Craig Walters (Tenor Saxophone); this is a line-up of Internationally experienced talent and we are looking forward to an afternoon of top quality Jazz.

Julie Mason: Vocals and Piano.
Auckland-based jazz vocalist-pianist Julie Mason (B.Mus.) is a very high profile artist who has performed extensively throughout New Zealand, appearing at all the major arts & jazz festivals and playing with this country’s foremost jazz musicians. She has performed with top Australian musicians at the Manly Jazz Festival, Sydney and the Magnetic Island Jazz Festival, Queensland, and played at some of Paris’ exclusive jazz clubs in 2005 & 2007, and in Berlin 2003 & 2007. She has been a regular artist at Auckland’s Montana Winter Jazz Series, and at Auckland’s Aotea Centre with “The First Ladies of Jazz”.

Craig Williams - Jazz Band Pianist and Bass Player:
Craig performs as a solo pianist, or as the pianist in the Craig Williams Trio, but also often works in a duo, quartet or quintet format in various combinations (e.g. piano plus bass, percussion, sax, trumpet or vocals) depending on venue preferences. Craig's styles of music extend across most genres from the 1920s through to present day contemporary songs, including jazz, Latin, blues, classic standards, and pop.

Frank Gibson: Drums:
Frank has had a vast career that has taken him around the world. He is recognised in the international Jazz community as an icon and fantastic player. He is one musician who could play with any jazz group in the world and has shown his ability to play in any genre due to his wonderful feel, outstanding technique, and great empathy. All of this has given Frank a very successful career.

His CV reads like the "Who's Who" of jazz and he has played with many artists from Frank Foster, John Schofield to Alan Broadbent, Joe Henderson to Sam Rivers. Recently, Frank has kept busy playing overseas festivals and clubs such as the Melbourne Festival and Bennett's Lane, playing the occasional gig in LA with long time friends Putter Smith and Alan Broadbent, playing the usual local festivals, music in parks and gigs, tutoring in jazz at Massey University, and running drum clinics and his private drum tutoring practice. He writes a regular column for New Zealand Musicians Magazine.

Craig Walters: Tenor Saxophone:
Craig has worked as a professional musician since 1985 and has vast International experience; having performed with Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jnr, Michael Feinstein,Louie Bellson, Billy Cobham, Cleo Lane and John Dankworth, Jim McNeely, Buddy Defranco, Joe Williams, The Pitzarelli Brothers, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Franki Valli and The Four Seasons, Michael Bolton, Craig has recorded on numerous albums and performed internationally in London, Switzerland, France, Poland, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand.

Mike Booth: Trumpet:
Trumpeter and teacher in New Zealand from 1971-1989. Recorded and toured with Netherworld Dancing Toys, Cats Away, Dave Dobbyn, Howard Morrison. Moved to Europe in 1989, performed with Dutch Jazz Orchestra, De Dijle (Dutch pop). Founded Auckland Jazz Orchestra. Taught at Rotterdam and Alkmaar Conservatories, teaching at Auckland University Jazz Dept. and New Zealand School of Music.
