To celebrate the release of his new single and a successful run of shows and collaborations across the UK and Europe, Jordan Rakei will returning to his home shores in February 2016, for a series of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand.
Following the success of his sophomore EP, Groove Curse, Rakei set up a home in the UK to record new music in 2015, selling out 4 London headline shows, a slew of supports, solo shows across Russia, Italy, Belgium & Dubai along the way, plus a personal invite to play Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide stage at this years OnBlackheath festival. He also caught the attention of perennial UK electronic chart-toppers, Disclosure & Sam Smith, joining them as a featured artist on Disclosure’s 2015 Grammy-Nominated album, Caracal.

Drawing inspiration from travelling and living abroad – plus the cultural and creative diversity of London - Rakei’s story continues to unfold with the release of his vibrant new single The Light, premiered by The Fader in October. Heading home to Australia for an exclusive summer series to celebrate this release, the tour kick’s off with LIVE MPC in Perth and Adelaide followed by more intimate band shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and of course his New Zealand debut at both Splore and the Matterhorn.

With a breathtaking debut album on the horizon for release mid next year, expect Rakei to tastefully entwine genres and push musical boundaries while journeying from Franklins Room to Groove Curse with brand new material making it’s live debut!
