adapted by Akiko Miyamoto, Frances Rae and Roger Sanders

A unique theatre piece using live music and narration with puppet techniques to retell two ancient tales of love. We bring a distinctly kiwi feeling to this historic art of puppetry. "The Legend of Anchin and Kiyohime" is one of burning passion, fire and snakes and "The Snow Woman (Yuki Onna)" is a tale of deep internal love and sacrifice.

About Koru Sakura Theatre Group:
Akiko Miyamoto is a puppeteer and puppet maker who has over thirty years experience in theatre, including work in Japan and internationally. Frances Rae is a self-taught puppet maker who has created puppets and masks for many of the Nelson Symphony Orchestra's children's concerts.
