Proudly presented by the Embassy of Japan in New Zealand and the Japan Foundation, the Japan Film Festival is coming to Wellington this year again! Due to the popularity of previous festivals, this will be held at the Paramount Theatre to ensure there is space for everyone to see as many movies as they like, so spread the word.

Please print your free tickets from Eventfinda and bring them along for priority entry to the theatre (from 5:20pm) and access to your choice of seat. All movies are preceded by a short documentary about Japanese culture from 5:45 pm.

The Japan Film Festival 2016 offers entertainment with a mixture of drama, action and comedy that will inspire and engage those seeking to broaden their cultural horizons. All movies are free admission so spread the word and bring along your friends and family! Please register and print your free tickets by using the link in this event.

Sci-fi suspense based on Keigo Higashino's novel set in a near-future Japan where public DNA investigation has become standard. Metropolitan police department scientist Kagura works on criminal investigations that utilise the public's DNA data. He has confidence in this investigation system, with a zero percent false charge rate, but one day his own DNA is detected at a murder site. Kagura knows nothing of the crime and flees, and is pursued by old-school detective Asama.
