Calling all aspiring movers and groovers! As part of New Zealand Dance Week, Te Manawa will host a number of dance classes this April ranging from Elizabethan to Zumba.
Organised by Dr Gina Salapata from the School of Humanities at Massey University, the day’s diverse programme will see the museum’s main foyer and education rooms alive with music and movement, with 12 classes in two parallel sessions beginning at 10.30am and running every hour.
The classes are free, and include Scottish, Irish, Latin (Merengue, Mambo, Waka waka and Salsa), Greek, Ceroc, Elizabethan, Jazz, Ballroom, Square Dancing and Zumba. Koha (donation) is appreciated and participation is encouraged for children aged 10 and over, and for men and women of all ages.

- 11:30am - Irish (Room 1) or Latin 1 - Merengue, Mambo (Room 2)
