How Is Auckland Tracking Against the Rest of The Country?

Sorry this event has been and gone

  • Wed 2 Mar ’16, 6:30pm – 8:30pm

ANZ Westgate, Westgate Shopping Centre, Massey West

All Ages

The latest QV data puts an unexpected spin on the state of the Auckland market as well as that of the other regions in New Zealand. Have we come to a complete stand-still in Auckland just as some pundits have predicted for so long? Or are the January market data a momentary glitch in an otherwise predictably raising market?

Delving deeper into its latest QV reports is Geoff Phillips of Core Logic who will be presenting on market trends for Auckland as well as the major property markets in New Zealand including Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch and Otago. Geoff will start off with a quick background on QV, how it collects, interprets and reports on property data. He will then take you through the latest QV statistics to give you a market update on all major centres including how they have been tracking in the last year compared to Auckland. From there you will gain an appreciation of the Auckland effect on other cities as well as an understanding of whether the recent Auckland slow down is seasonal or if it is a sign that values will continue to drop. Geoff will discuss where the other markets are heading in the coming year. Finally he will give a frank talk on the value of market trend reports to everyday investors and show you how reactive your strategy should be from figures published month to month.
