The title of the Bach Choir’s first concert for 2016 comes from Parry’s anthem "Hear my words, ye people", a work for choir, soloists and organ which finishes with his own hymn tune Laudate Dominum (O praise ye the Lord). The programme also includes Purcell’s joyful settings of Te Deum and Jubilate in D, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de Confessore, K.339 — which includes the famous soprano solo Laudate Dominum - and the Son of God Mass by English composer James Whitbourn, incorporating a soprano saxophone which gives the mass a very contemporary feel. This is an exciting programme and one not to be missed.

Admission $30 / $20 unwaged / $10 for tertiary students with ID.
