Take the beautiful drive up to Glenorchy for a fun-filled "Hunters & Gatherer's" themed day at the head of the lake, the heart of the mountains.

On sale now:
Fresh Fish & Game Dinner + a movie, "Hallowed Isles," introduced by filmmaker James Reardon

$35pp (pre-booking required) includes both dinner and the movie

5:45pm: Dinner is served
- Fiordland Wild Venison Cassoulet Pie
- Wakatipu Fish Chowder, with wild Glenorchy watercress, purple heart potato, and Otago saffron
- New season asparagus

6:30pm: The inimitable Fleur Sullivan, founder of award-winning restaurant Oliver’s and now owner of internationally-recognized Fleurs Place, will be on hand to share her bounty of adventures of foraging and preparing fresh local foods over three decades.

7:00pm: Filmmaker James Reardon introduces Hallowed Isles, a deeply-felt, beautifully-filmed exploration of the Chatham Islands and the unique lifestyles, life, and ecosystems that make their way in this rugged outpost 800km offshore.

Come early and learn from the region's expert hunters and gatherers:

10:00am: “Fresh and Yummy” veg stalls open -- fresh and spray-free from the North Island
- Mrs Woolly’s hot-off-the-grill BBQ Breakfast Buns served

An afternoon of inspiring workshops:

1:00pm: Beer-Making from Whole Grains
2:00pm: Grow Your Own Microgreens
3:00pm: Fermented Foods, featuring Shirley Brickell of Real Food Now

4:30pm: The Hunter, the Chef, and the Winemaker
- Matt Hood, a local Glenorchy fishing guide on the best places to find fish in the area
- Darren Lovell of Queenstown's Fishbone Restaurant for a workshop on three delicious ways to prepare trout
- Grant Taylor from Valli Vineyards pouring his new releases paired with local fish and game

5:30pm: Cash bar opens

5:45pm: Fresh fish and game dinner is served (see details above)

6:30pm: The inimitable Fleur Sullivan

7:00pm: Filmmaker James Reardon introduces the film, "Hallowed Isles"
