From the Forest to the Shore ” Woodturning & Carving Exhibition.

This exhibition. presented by the Wellington Guild of Woodworkers, is really wowing visitors to the gallery, they have been pleasantly surprised at the creativeness and amazing skills of artists in this group, Many of the artworks in this exhibition have a unique connection with the Petone Foreshore, some of the artists in wood have carefully selected driftwood pieces that have washed up on Petone beach and transformed them into amazing carvings. Resident woodturner, Hugh Mill will be joined by 13 other Wellington artists such as, Graeme McIntyre, a leading NZ Turner, who has won a number of national woodturning competitions, and other well known carvers of wood, Phil Quinn, John Spittal , Archie Kerr and Jim Howell.
