Through the trees set contemporary artist Kirstin Carlin onto a collision course with one of Dunedin's favourite daughters, Frances Hodgkins.

Interested in the familiar tropes of art history and image production, Carlin's paintings both celebrate and unravel some of the painterly strategies deployed by Hodgkins. This exhibition brings Carlin's new paintings together with a selection of works by Hodgkins from the Dunedin Public Art Gallery collection.

30 September 2015 - 22 January 2017.
