"Fafangu Koula o Pakilau" or known as the "Golden Bells of Pakilau" was the first reggae band in Tonga. They recorded an EP back in the early 1970's and came up with a well known song called Constitution. Another popular song from the group was Si'i Heilala Ko Piki Pea Vela. Just to acknowledge that Manase Manukai Sakisi wrote most of the songs for the first album. The band became very popular quickly and were household names in Tonga.

Early in the 1980's, Fafangu Koula o Pakilau came to NZ to continue to develop their music, however band members decided to move on and formed their own bands. One band was called The Moana Fire Band, it included band member Tafa Makahununiu and others which produced some popular hits including Ana Latu, Fakapo, Pongia ae Loto, to name a few. Uilise Pole'o did his own recording in the USA, includes some popular numbers like Little Darling, We wanna go back, and Love is all we Need. Foni Pole'o recorded Hulita, which was a popular hit for the Pacific people. Vaka Pole'o, also a brother of Foni and Uilise managed to do some of his own recording.

These were talented song writers and musicians in their own right. So after 30+ years, this will be their first time together again. Unfortunately three members of the Fafangu Koula Band have passed away so it will also be a tribute show for these members, Foni Pole'o, Tevita Veikoso, and Henitoni Pale.
