Having been loosely based in the Nelson region for the last few years, Erin is gaining National recognition as a hard-working emerging original touring artist, and before she leaves our shores for international pursuits, she has one more treat in store for you. One show only, at selected South Island venues, during May, NZ Music Month.

For Erin, 2016 brings a fresh new sound; her work has developed through three years of dedication, three National Tours, nine years of writing and of course, many various life experiences, some of which will be familiar to all. Through well crafted lyrical flair, themes in her songs range from love and war, right through to protecting the environment and social observations... Intrigued by the 'Beautiful People' she meets along the way, Erin truly is a 'folk' artist in the real sense... she creates music for the people.

The show is 100% original and 100% live; Erin contrasts the intimate ambience of sweet (sometimes a capella) songs, against upbeat, dancy tracks using a loop pedal and stomp box right in front of you; laying funky bass lines, swinging upbeat rhythm, sweet vocal harmonies, bright leads, and general 'Rhythm and Soul' overtop each other... gradually building powerful choruses that are ultimately superseded by a passionate, unique vocal style.

Think Alanis Morissette meets Jewel, with the big heart and socio-political aspirations of John Lennon and Bob Marley, and in the style of Eddie Vedder, though she grew up singing along to local favourites like Anika Moa and Salmonella Dub.

Listeners are somewhat undecided. "There isn't another [artist] with a similar style or tone in their voice.. Unique is good.. It's hard not to feel inspired" - Karin Hoffman, This & That Magazine, Nelson.

It might be hard to pinpoint a genre, but what is clear is that it's popular.

"I've had a world famous live music venue for ten years.. on the way home I ticked up the best music system I could find so I could have her voice at home" - Shayne Kavanagh, Strawberry Tree, Kaikoura.

"Erin is a true bohemian poet. She blends catchy folk charm with deep soulful ballads. Her music speaks from the heart. Always deeply honest and challenging, she blends story telling and her impressions of the world around her to create captivating performances all audiences can enjoy." - Josh, Cowan Creative, Timaru.
