Perpetual Guardian Planetarium Show and Equinox Stargazing Field Trip.

Join us under the dome for a special look at the night sky at the equinox, when day and night are the same lengths. Then hop on our bus for a stargazing trip with Otago Museum and Dunedin Astronomical Society astronomers.

The event will begin with a show in the Perpetual Guardian Planetarium. After the show, we will travel by bus to an observing site and will meet the Dunedin Astronomical Society astronomers who will be co-ordinating telescope viewing.

If the weather is unsuitable, we will remain in the Museum after the Planetarium show. You will be treated to a variety of astronomy activities, including presentations on stargazing, aurora hunting, and telescope use. You will receive a raincheck voucher to use with the Dunedin Astronomical Society at the Beverly-Begg Observatory on a Sunday night

Bookings essential.
