Sorry this event has been and gone

Hawke's Bay Business Hub, 36 Bridge St, Napier

All Ages

How much do you know about the Treaty of Waitangi? How is the Treaty relevant for your business or organisation? How can increasing your knowledge of the Treaty support practical engagement with whanau, hapu, iwi, and Maori organisations?

Building on the workshop held on 31 March 2016, Treaty Solutions in partnership with JMP Consulting, Business Hawkes Bay and Te Puni Kokiri Tairawhiti, are pleased to offer a workshop that will assist successful Maori engagement for businesses, organisations and communities and the achievement of positive outcomes for, and with, Maori.

The workshop will further develop your understanding of the relationship between Treaty rights and responsibilities and human rights. It will also examine case studies that will help develop guidelines for strengthened relationships for your business or organisation. The workshop is highly interactive and builds on best practice.

Coming out of this workshop you can expect to have increased your knowledge and awareness to be better able to lead your organisation to:
- Engage with Maori to improve outcomes;
- Apply a Treaty framework to your policies and practices which will underpin that engagement;
- Help develop partnerships and relationships with Tangata Whenua, Rangatira; and
- Improve understanding of Tikanga and Matauranga Maori.
