The Equal Justice Project presents our semester 2 symposium!

Given the media attention surrounding the Moko case, concerns have been raised around plea bargaining and its place in our criminal justice system. This is especially so when considering murder and manslaughter charges.

Guest speakers:
- Denise Wallwork (Liberty Law)
- Jock Jamieson (Sensible Sentencing Trust)
- David Parker (Labour Shadow Attorney General)

The event will be chaired by criminal law lecturer Kris Gledhill.

This event is open to the public. Nibbles will be provided following the event, so stick around afterwards!

Note: The Equal Justice Project is a student-run, pro bono organisation from the University of Auckland, Faculty of Law. The Equal Justice Project has attempted to balance this panel with a variety of viewpoints as best as we can. EJP’s hope is that people will be encouraged to actively and critically consider issues in our society.
