Conservation Volunteers, in partnership with Cornwall Park Trust, will be running two volunteer daffodil planting days at Cornwall Park. Cornwall Park is a large parkland in Epsom, near the heart of Auckland. It covers approximately 270 hectares and includes the well-known volcanic cone, One Tree Hill, named after the last pine tree that stood atop the hill when Europeans first settled in Auckland.

The Park has centuries-old heritage sites, wide-open spaces, tree lined avenues and walks, places of peace and tranquility in a large city, sports grounds including tennis and bowls and a working farm for the education of city children. The park is renowned for its landscape design and wide variety of mature trees.

To continue the serenity of Cornwall park efforts are made by sustaining the trees through replanting, protecting the historic features and maintaining visitor facilities attuned to the changing needs. This week, our team will be assisting with the planting of daffodils so that the park can have a stunning display of vibrant colours this spring. You can join for one or both days. We’d love to have your help.

For this and all our projects, volunteers are assisted by a qualified team leader. We provide transportation from our office at 3 Esplanade Road, Mt. Eden. The team meets at 8am and returns no later than 4pm. Alternatively you can arrange to meet on site.

Bookings are essential.
Please contact info@conservationvolunteers.co.nz or 0800 567686 to join the team or to find out more.
