Celebrate Conservation Week and the start of spring with a day trip to Rotoroa Island – home to tīeke, takahē, kiwi and other precious native wildlife of Aotearoa.

Daily at 10:30 am, join Auckland Zoo keeper Ashleigh Morrow for a fascinating guided walk and talk to discover the thriving tieke population and other wildlife conservation programmes Auckland Zoo and the Rotoroa Island Trust have implemented on this stunning pest-free 83ha isle.

Catch the Ferry:
- The 360 Discovery Cruises Ferry departs Sat 17 September and Sun 18 September for Rotoroa from Pier 4, 139 Quay St, downtown Auckland at 8:45 am. It leaves Rotoroa at 5:15 pm, arriving back at downtown Auckland at 6:30 pm.
