Did you know that by 2050 there will be 600 million Spanish speakers in the world?

Spanish language is pretty cool so join us in our day long tribute to español (or castellano if that's your jam).

We've got fun for all ages and a whole morning for the niños.

Lineup Includes:

All day activities:
--Interview with our local Spanish Radio station (hosted by our amigas at MIA)
-- Learn how to blend in with your dialect next time you travel (che o wea)
-- Short movies and programmes in Spanis

Workshops and Presentations:

10.00-11.00am: Children's Language Workshop (run by MIA - Mujeres in Aotearoa)
11am-12.00pm: Children's Music Workshop (run by Matias Ceballos)
12.00-01.30pm: Paper Mache Workshop
01.30-02.30pm: Presentation on Miguel de Cervantes (author of Don Quixote) and his influence on Latin American literature by Leonel Alvarado, Senior Lecturer at Massey University
02.30-2.45pm- Q&A
2.45-03.15pm- Spanish Language Practise
03.15-4.00pm- Music Performance by Matias Ceballos
