BYOU - (Bring your own Ukulele!)

Graeme Cairns and the musicalists from the Big Muffin Serious Band have a ukulele tuition method called "The Dancing Chords", which is equally popular with people of all ages. At a recent conference of music teachers, they concluded that it was the best music-teaching system they'd ever encountered. At the Melbourne Ukulele festival, people responded that it was like getting 3 workshops all in one.

To get an idea of what's involved in the workshops website www.muffin.net.nz. "There you will find some short films using our Dancing Chords (the workshops are similar to these, but a bit more teacherly), also some footage both old and new of our performances, and hundreds of songs that we've written-up with chords, melody and harmony lines, and lyrics for people to down-load for free," says Graeme. These lessons and techniques have been developed and fine-tuned over a number of years by Graeme and his team. They are fun and interactive.
