Did you know you can see whales and dolphins right on Auckland's doorstep?

As part of the Department of Conservation's Conservation Week, join us on our free public Open Day aboard our research vessel Dolphin Explorer - the perfect place to channel your inner marine biologist!

Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari have been running daily research education tours for 16 years in our very own Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. In that time we've born witness to interactions with over 27 different marine mammal species, with dolphin sighting on 9/10 of our tours year round!

Over that time we've also seen how the Hauraki Gulf marine environment has changed, and now we need your help to keep it a healthy place for our resident whale and dolphin species. We cherish our partnerships with the Department of Conservation, New Zealand Universities and leading biologists from around the world and are excited to invite you to come and learn more about our amazing natural resources on this fun day out!

On the day:
- Catch up with the scientists and crew and find out what we do!
- Chat with our on-board marine mammal researchers and discover their latest findings
- Meet the local marine ranger for Department of Conservation and find out how you can help!
- Try out the captain's latest technologies - including VR and underwater robots!
- Activities for the kids.

Come see our crew outside the Voyager Maritime Museum first who will then guide you to the boat.
