Auckland Symphony Orchestra is proud to present our first concert for our 2016 Free Family Concert series.

Inspired by music which takes its basis in dance tunes and rhythms, Symphonic Dances features a variety of both classical and modern orchestral works which will have you up on your feet and dancing the afternoon away.

Featuring:
Rachmaninov - Symphonic Dances, Movement I
Liszt - Totentanz for Piano and Orchestra
Stravinsky - Excerpts from "Petrushka"
Tchaikovsky - "Waltz of the Flowers" from The Nutcracker
Bernstein - "Mambo" from West Side Story
Piazzolla - Libertango
Shostakovich - Folk Dances
Music from "Chicago" and "Happy Feet"
