Direct Animal Action invite you to 'Animals - Seeing the Sentient Being' ~ an art event in Auckland raising funds for Raglan-based animal sanctuary 'Paws Awhile'. Over 30 established and emerging New Zealand artists feature in the event including Flox, Jeff Thomson, Paul Walsh, Peter Miller, Misery, Paul Hartigan and Mary McIntyre.

Paws Awhile aims to provide safe haven for animals rescued from abuse and neglect. The sanctuary has many permanent and foster residents including dogs, cats, donkeys, miniature ponies, highland cattle, kunekune pigs and chickens. Paws Awhile, an independent and self-funded animal sanctuary, works alongside other animal welfare agencies to better the lives of animals in New Zealand.

The exhibition runs from 29th November to 1st December, 9am-3pm daily.
A silent online and in studio auction will run from 28th November - 1st December.

Visit www.seeingthesentientbeing.com for online bidding.
The live auction evening is Thursday 1st December. Doors open at 5:30pm. The live auction starts at 7pm. Wine and nibbles served.
