The Jubilee Building, Then and Now - Children's Historical Scavenger Hunt

Bring the kids along to take part in a scavenger hunt and find out about the history of the Jubilee Building and the surrounding areas. Go to the library to start the hunt.

The Jubilee Building was the site of the first school for the blind in New Zealand. Use Braille bookmarks to decipher clues and find your way around the scavenger hunt. You can also visit the Jubilee Building - Then and Now exhibition in the Jubilee Hall (Open 10am-4pm) to find out more about the history of the building and the Blind Foundation. The exhibition is vision-impaired accessible.

In association with Parnell Library and the Blind Foundation.

Parnell Community Trust runs an exciting programme of Community Classes and Activities at Parnell Community Centre. Our July – December 2016 programme is now online, with flyers available now from Parnell Community Centre, central Auckland libraries and other local outlets. Let us know if you'd like us to mail you a copy - phone Robert on 09 555 5164.
