Bring the family and celebrate Conservation Week with a unique after-dark guided walk at the Sinclair Wetlands/Te Nohoaka o Tukiauau.

Join us first and plant a native tree to make your contribution to habitat restoration, enjoy a BBQ, hear about what makes the Wetlands special, then venture into the wetlands in the dark (by walking track) to experience this local treasure in a new way.

Hear the night-time sounds in the Wetlands, see the stars, find the Kiwi Guardian pole, learn about the Wetlands, plant a tree for conservation.

Bring gumboots, tramping boots or sturdy walking shoes, a gold coin koha for the BBQ, a torch or headlamp.

Please register by contacting Sue Galloway (email: suemgalloway@actrix.co.nz, phone: 464-0787) if you are planning to come, or would lie more information. Prior registration is required.

Visit the website and Facebook page to find out more about the Wetlands.

Directions: The Wetlands are 45km south of Dunedin. Turn right onto Henley-Berwick Road off State Highway 1 at the signposted Henley intersection (before you reach Waihola). After 4.5 km turn left into Berwick Road at the T intersection. The Sinclair Wetlands Centre is well signposted on the left after a further 6.6 km on this road.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2016.
